Sur la commune de Bannalec
Cette chapelle est dédiée à Ste Triphine, fille de Warok, comte de Vannes. Cet édifice date du début du XVIe siecle mais le chœur à chevet polygonal ainsi que son clocher sont du XVIIème. Sur le mur arrière de la chapelle vous pouvez observer les armoiries de Jacques de Trecevilly. La chapelle originelle est attestée dès 1030 sur le cartulaire de Sainte Croix aujourd’hui conservé à la prestigieuse British Library de Londres. Après la chute du toit en 1943 et du clocher en 1987 suite à l’ouragan, la chapelle est en ruines et menacée de destruction. Depuis cette date un comité de voisin a entrepris la restauration terminée en 2008. N’oubliez pas d’aller voir la fontaine en contre bas, vous ne le regretterez pas…
This chapel is dedicated to Ste Triphine, Warok’s daughter, comte of Vannes. This building was built in the beginning of the XVIth century but the choir and the bell tower date back the XVIIth century. On the back wall, look the Jacques de Trecevilly’s armory. The chapel is attested in 1030 by the cartulaire of Sainte Croix preserve in the famous British Library of London. When the roof fell in 1943 and when the bell tower in 1987 because of the storm, the chapel was in ruins. At this date a neighbouring committee decided to restaure it and finished in 2008.
