Kolmiosainen multikätkö, joka esittelee Laajalahden vallihautoja.
[FIN]:Ensimmäisen maailmansodan aikana venäläiset rakensivat Suomeen varsin laajan maalinnoitusten ketjun. Sen tarkoituksena oli toimia Venäjän silloisen pääkaupungin, Pietarin suojana saksalaisten hyökkäyksiä vastaan. Helsingin ympärille muodostettiin oma linnoituskehä, joka käsitti sekä saaristoon että mantereelle rakennetut puolustuslaitteet. Linnoitustyöt olivat niin valtavia että Suomesta ei löytynyt riittävästi työvoimaa niitä rakentamaan. Niinpä Venäjältä tuotiin tuhansia miehiä vallihautoja tekemään. Maaliskuun vallankumous 1917 lopetti linnoitustyöt kerralla. Linnoitustöiden ansiosta syntyi Laajalahden alueelle tiestö, ns. tykkitiet, jotka palvelivat alueen asukkaita vuosikymmenien ajan. Ne loivat perustan Laajalahden alueen nykyiselle tiestölle. Osa näistä tykkiteistä oli niin hyvin rakennettuja, että ne palvelivat liikennettä vielä 1960-luvullakin. Olkaa varovaisia vallihautojen lähettyvillä! [EN]:During the First World War, the Russians built a fairly extensive chain of ground fortresses in Finland. Its purpose was to protect then capital of Russia, St. Petersburg against German attacks. Around Helsinki a circle of fortresses was formed. It included the defence equipment on both mainland and islands. The fortress construction was so massive that Finland didn’t have sufficient manpower to build them. Thus, thousands of men were brought from Russia to build the trenches. The revolution in March 1917 stopped the construction of the fortresses at once. Thanks to the construction of the fortresses the so called cannon roads were born into the Laajalahti area to serve the residents for decades. They made the foundation for Laajalahti area’s current terrain. Some of these cannon roads were so well constructed that they were still serving traffic at the 1960s. At the given coordinates you’ll find the coordinates to the 2nd stage. The 2nd stage is located near the cannon road. You'll find the final coordinates there. Be careful around the trenches!
