THÉATRE ROYAL

The Marrakech Theatre is a marvel of architecture designed by Charles Boccara, a tunisian born architect that has made many works in Morocco.

Inaugurated on 19 September 2001, having a 1200-seat open-air theatre and an 800-seat opera house, the Theatre Royal is a creation sure to enhance the red city’s reputation as mediator and focal point for intellectuals the world over. It also constitutes a cultural and artistic centre in the heart of the Pearl of Southern Morocco, with shows, receptions, concerts and exhibitions being held there throughout the year. The Royal Theatre is located in the Guéliz neighbourhood, Marrakech's modern city built in an european style, with large avenues and boulevards, but preserving the colour and the traditional architecture of the city.

The cache is a micro film canister placed on the outside wall of the Lycée Hassan II, from where you can have a nice view of the Royal Theatre. The coordinates may have a slight error (if possible, please provide me with more accurate ones), but you can look at the spoiler pictures in order to help you. I hope you enjoy!

(P.S.: a local resident may perform maintenance if necessary)
