St Simon Stock was born in Kent, about 1165 and died in the Carmelite monastery at Bordeaux, France, 16 May, 1265
St Simon’s Hall was built in the early 60’s and used as a Mass centre for the Catholic people of St Ashford
It also had many other use’s such as: playgroup for under five’s - wedding receptions - parties for many occasion - jumble sales - over 60’s club to name a few
I believe it was one, if not the first bingo hall in Ashford on a Thursday evening from 63/64 (Nine O Clubs) - Also in the early 70’s as a wrestling venue
In 1991 the new building opened as it is today - with daily Masses - it’s also used by the children of St Simon’s School across the footpath
When you find the cache .......

The cache has a log book but no room for pen so bring one along.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list
