*** CHIRP CACHE:
REQUIRES SPECIAL EQUIPMENT ***
As you may have guessed from the title, this two-stage
multicache employs a Chirp Wireless Beacon and thus requires that
you use a compatible GPS units. The Groundspeak guidelines do not
allow me to list the compatible models here; if you're unsure if
your unit is Chirp compatible, search the forums or shoot me an
email and I'll let you know the exact model numbers that will
work.
If you arrive at the listed coordinates with any other type of
GPS receiver you will be sadly disappointed. If you fit this
profile and can't team up with a geocaching buddy who owns an
appropriate model, shoot me an email and I'll make an effort to
meet you and let you borrow my unit for the hunt.
For those suitably equipped, when you show up at the listed
coordinates remember to visit your Setup-->Geocaching menu to
turn on Chirp Searching. Once connected you'll receive information
directing you to the final cache location.
This hunt involves stimulating scenery, strolling along a nicely
maintained trail, a brand-spanking-new footbridge, and a fun hunt.
It also involves loose rocky terrain, challenging elevation
changes, and potential encounters with snakes, biting insects,
poisonous plants, and other natural hazards. If you choose to
attempt this cache after heavy rainfall, a direct approach may lead
you into harm's way. If you take along your children, proceed
slowly and use good judgement. And be sure that you wear
appropriate footwear; this is not flip-flop territory.
As you (finally) approach Ground Zero, you'll be looking for a
camouflaged Witz case holding a logsheet and a few small trade
items. You may encounter some feathered cache guardians nearby.
Chirp, chirp!
