For years I've been doing the crossword puzzle in the Sunday paper.
Several years ago, I noticed there was another crossword, a
diagramless one, in the paper as well. My first attempt at one was
a miserable failure. I quickly was stumped and gave up. Some months
later, I decided to try again. This time I slowly made progress and
began to get a feel for solving it. Since then I have become pretty
good at these puzzles. Now, you can give one a try.
Here's what to do. First, solve the puzzle! The grid is 19 x 19
and is diagonally symmetric, that means if A1 is blank then S19 is
as well, like a regular crossword. All answers are at least three
letters long. Every letter is part of two words. Once you have
solved it, using the letter/number coordinates of the grid, decode
the message below. The puzzle has a Geocaching theme and clues
related to the theme are in red, those should be pretty easy.
Google will help for some answers and THIS SITE should be helpful as
well.

If you need help getting started send me an email and I'll try
to get you going. This grid is fairly simple and shouldn't be too
bad once you get a start. One thing I would suggest is to start out
on a piece of scrap paper or graph paper until you can see how the
grid is going to shape up. And now for the rest of the puzzle:
