The Kent County Cachers monthly meet for August 2011 will be held at:
The Fayreness Hotel, Botany Bay, Broadstairs on Saturday 20th August from 12.00 noon to about 3.00pm.
Broadstairs is the jewel in the crown of the Thanet coast with its quaint squares of fishermen's cottages, the arched walkway beside Bleak House (once the summer home of Charles Dickens), the promenade with its glorious flower beds and the picturesque harbour.
Just to the north of the town is Botany Bay, with unusual chalk stacks on the beach.
The Kent County Cachers monthly meet for August 2011 will be held at:
The Fayreness Hotel, Botany Bay, Broadstairs on Saturday 20th August from 12.00 noon to about 3.00pm.
The Fayreness Hotel has picturesque views from the cliff top between Botany Bay and Kingsgate Bay. We will meet in the bar where meals and snacks are available. There is also a garden.
There will be a wedding at the hotel that day, but we have been advised by the hotel management that this will not affect the bar and garden areas.
There are at least a dozen caches along the cliffs within easy walking distance of the hotel, with many more within the local area.
We hope you will be able to come along and enjoy the views of the Thanet coast, have a chat with fellow cachers and get some fresh sea air whilst finding some of the local caches!
