Olaff's original wisdom: Most of the time we spend near here is in picking up 'holds' or in returning materials. Still, the library is a significant part of our lives, a place we visit at least once a week. With the internet, electronic readers, and recorded books rapidly advancing, we wonder what the future of the public library might be. In terms of vying for public dollars, something strong inside me would rather drive around potholes and eliminate lawmakers, if necessary, than see this service done in.
