Binley Little Wood has been present in its current configuration
since the earliest map editions of the late 19th Century and is
likely to be more ancient than that. Since this time the wood has
been incorporated into the modern Binley housing estate where it
functions as a pleasant and unexpected suprise, being a popular
place for children to play and dog walkers to stroll.
Formerly an area prone to vandalism and fly-tipping, the Friends
of Binley Littlewood have made great achievements in improving the
access and diversity of the wood.
