Geocache Description:

O Moinho da Tia Faleira é um dos poucos moinhos na ilha de São Miguel tão bem conservados. Localizado na freguesia da Fajã De Cima o local oferece-nos uma vista sobre a freguesia e arredores. A construção do moinho não está datada sabendo-se apenas que este manteve-se em funções até meados do século XIX. Após de no século XX ter estado em ruínas, foi recontruído pela junta de freguesia e pela ARDE.

The Windmill of Tia Faleira is one of the few windmills on the island of São Miguel so well preserved. Located in the village of Fajã De Cima the local offers us a view over the village and surrounding area. The construction of the windmill is undated knowing only that it remained in office until the mid-nineteenth century. After the twentieth century when it was in ruins it was rebuild by the parish council and by the ARDE.
