Heads of the Rivers Trek - No 9
Tavy Head
You are now at the furthest and most remote
point of the trek, just under 1km from Cut Hill, but still another
5 miles to go. A small detour north will enable you to take in
ELDitton's 2 North West Passage caches. This was another difficult
area to hide a cache and there is a hint and spoiler to
help.
This cache may contain part coordinates for
the bonus cache: Heads of
the Rivers Trek - Inward Bonus
Next cache in this series: Heads of the Rivers Trek - No 10

IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of the caches in
this series are within the Merrivale Military Range where live
firing occurs. You must check out the Firing Notices before
entering the range. DO NOT ENTER THE RANGE WHEN THE RED FLAGS ARE
FLYING. Never pick up any metal objects, they may be unexploded
devices.

The weather on Dartmoor can change
suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can
be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing
and map & compass (and know how to use them). Please do NOT
rely solely on your GPS.
Each cache has been rated individually up to a maximum terrain
rating of 4.5. (You won't need to scuba dive, rock climb, kayak or
swim! But DO keep an eye out for Dartmoor's bogs )
I would like to thank the Dartmoor National Park Authority for
their kind permission to allow me to place this series of
caches.
