Geocache Description:

Join us for the first GPS Adventures Canada Maze Event!

Groundspeak, in partnership with Minotaur Mazes and the Three Hills Centennial Place Recreation Complex, is pleased to invite you to an event celebrating the launch of the GPS Adventures Canada Maze Exhibit.

Be among the first to see the exhibit in Canada while you socialize with fellow geocachers! Jeremy Irish, President and Co-Founder of Groundspeak, will be there to celebrate with the geocaching community.

About GPS Adventures Canada

GPS Adventures Canada, a traveling exhibit created in partnership between Groundspeak and Minotaur Mazes, prominently features Alberta’s Canadian Badlands, and is a smaller version of the GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit currently touring North America.

Attendees will learn about GPS through interactive science experiences in a 1,500 square foot indoor maze and an outdoor GPS training course. The maze will take visitors through three main rooms - Tools of Discovery, Modern Explorer, and Discovering the Canadian Badlands - each dedicated to interactive science learning.

After exploring the indoor maze, participants can move to the outdoor course and locate nearby geocaches using GPS units available at the exhibition venue.

Geocachers who log their attendance at the GPS Adventures Canada Maze will earn a unique icon for the GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit Cache type. Visit the Exhibit page for more information.

About the Event

The event will take place Friday, July 15 from 11 am to 1 pm. This time has been selected in order to provide those coming out for the 2011 Best of the Bad Mega Event (GC2GA1J) time to attend this event as well as others surrounding the Mega.

During the event, admission to the Maze will be free and there will be a free hot dog lunch!

Attendees of all ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
