Geocache Description:

Finding yourself at a loose end one day you decide to go for a walk and have dinner in the great outdoors. You pack your rucksack, then head off to explore .....

The co-ordinates are for the carpark, from there you need to play the wherigo cartridge to find the cache, (actual container). For most devices the wherigo starts fine from the carpark, for others you need to start it before entering the carpark.

The game will probably take about 1 hour, depending on how fit you are, and is not circular, so best to allow a couple of hours. It's my first wherigo so is fairly straightforward. I hope you enjoy playing it.

The cartridge for this Wherigo can be downloaded here: (visit link)
Use the same log in as for Groundspeak.

Once downloaded to your computer you need to transfer it to a compatable device e.g. Oregon, iphone/android phone with a wherigo app, (pigo or whereyougo app), or a pocket pc using the pocket pc version of the cartridge. Otherwise download straight to the wherigo app on your phone or tablet.

This wherigo has been tested on the Oregon 550t and on the ipad using the pigo ap. You are advised to save your game regularly as the cartridges have been known to crash on some devices. Once saved if you exit or it crashes then when you return it will give you an option to load a saved game. Thanks to Will of the Wisp and Bishopflyer for helping test it in the field.

Some people have had problems when doing this wherigo on an iphone. This may be because their wifi is turned on and apparently, turning off Wi-Fi capability on your phone is imperative as the cartridge needs to operate from the pre-programmed co-ords on your GPSr, (thanks Phil).

Please note that in summer you will have to plough through tall bracken to get to one of the zones, (this wasn't there when the cache was sited).

Please include in your logs which device you used to play, if there were any problems and how long it took you as an aid to other cachers. If you wish to log it on the wherigo site there is a completion code after finding the cache, or you can upload your saved file.
