After
completing a region you are eligible to purchase unique, trackable
geocoins! By purchasing a coin, you are directly contributing funds
to Texas State Parks and their ability to further develop
programming like the Statewide Geocache Challenge.
This cache is one of 10 that
make up the Central Texas Region of
the 2011 Texas State Parks Geocache Challenge! Please note that you
only need to visit 9 of the 10
caches in this region to receive credit for completing the
challenge.
Before you set out to find
the caches be sure to download the
Central Texas Challenge Passport. Use the special punch to mark
the appropriate place in the Passport and answer the questions
based on the information found on the site specific geocard. Park
entry fees apply. Consider purchasing an annual pass for $60 that
will save you money all year long!
The Challenge will begin
June 25th, 2011 and continue until June 2012. The first 25
completed Passports that we receive in each region will earn a free
commemorative Texas Geocache Challenge geocoin. All participants
who return their completed passports will be given a voucher,
making them eligible to purchase an additional, trackable and
regionally specific geocoin.
