Geocache Description:


The Cougar Mountain Zoo come meet Pato and Rio the macaws and all the others the animals!

On this day, admission is free for geocachers! Just mention you're a cacher and you will be handed a coupon which you hand in at the front office. You will then get a zoo map with a door prize raffle ticket !

Where: At Cougar Mountain Zoo of Course!
When: Saturday, July 9th 2011, 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. The zoo will have a bird Wildlife Show at 1:30 p.m. There will also be a geoaching event game and activities within the zoo and door prizes!

Travel bugs trading welcome, kids are welcome, there will be a trackable event Macaw geocoin (see pic below, in three different styles!) All sales will be donated to the zoo! Please write a will attend log.

Parking is available in the lot, or at the academy or down in the lot with the row of flags and on the street.

Join the Zoo Travel Travel Tag Party We are also going to launch a travel bug Cache Buddy party during the event. We will have many animal tags available as well as stuffed toys to attach your tag to. Reserve yours now! Costs depend on the stuffed animal (+ trackable tag) and range from $15-$30. All the proceeds will be donated to the zoo.

Making an appearance will be: Seychelles the Starfish, Powder the Polar Bear, Sydney the Koala, Bonobo the Monkey, Siam the Peacock, Percy the Penguin Bamboo the Panda, Olly the Orca, Anemone the Clown Fish, Polly the Parrot, Lulu the Ladybug, Hop the Frog, Alberta the Moose, Hover the Hummingbird, Raymond the Manta Ray.

We will also have a unique rainforest Gelato for sale, as well as cups of food for the animals. Sliced apple cups are $2 and dry food cups are $1 (donated to the zoo of course).

There will be a kids activity table with crayons and coloring sheets of their favorite zoo animals.

Zoo Pass Cachers will be handed a "Zoo Pass" activity sheet of six fun to do things at the zoo. Badges of honor will be awarded to cachers who complete all the activities!
