F: Les derniers pas menant à la cache requièrent une certaine prudence. Ça n'est pas de la grimpe, mais il ne faudrait surtout pas glisser.

F: Les roches du Geisspfad (sentier de la chèvre) sont associées à des roches d’origine océanique et se situent au-dessus de la nappe du Monte Leone.
En approchant le Geisspfad par l’Italie, plusieurs taches vertes, sous la Punta Gerla (à gauche en montant), attireront votre attention. Cette couleur verte, indique la présence d'olivine et de serpentinite, roche métamorphique qui tire son nom de son aspect semblable à celui d’écailles. Son toucher provoque une sensation particulière qui peut faire évoquer de la peau de serpent. Elle est présente en filons ou en masses importantes dans un milieu en association avec des gabbros et péridotites.

Avvicinandosi al Geisspfad dall’Italia, molti punti di verde nel Punta Gerla (a sinistra in alto), attireranno la vostra attenzione. Il colore verde indica la presenza di olivina e serpentino, una roccia metamorfica che prende il nome dal suo aspetto simile a squame. Al tatto causa una sensazione particolare, che può evocare la pelle di serpente. Essa si presenta in vene o in grandi masse in un mezzo in associazione con gabbri e peridotiti.
E: The Geisspfad rocks (litteraly goat path) are associated to ocean origin’s rocks and are set above the Monte Leone layer.
When you approach the Geisspfad from Italy, several green spots, under the Punta Gerla (on your left), will draw your attention.
This green color indicates the presence of olivine and serpentinite, metamorphic rock that derived its name from a similar appearance to scales. Its touch caused a particular sensation that can evoke the snakeskin. It occurs in veins or in large masses in an environment in association with gabbros and peridotites.

F: Une idée de parcours sur deux jours depuis le Valais avec en prime 3-4 caches en chemin?
Du petit village de Fäld, vous pouvez remonter le Binntal jusqu’à l’Albrunnpass, col qui vous fera basculer en Italie.
Plus loin, le village de Crampiolo, au pied du Lago di Devero, vous accueillera pour une nuit réparatrice (réserver à l'avance).
Le lendemain, il faudra vous attaquer à une montée soutenue en direction du Geisspfad / Passo della Rossa. Vous atteindrez la cache avant le col. Le retour en Valais se poursuit par un chemin caillouteux et passe par le Mässersee, petit bijou de lac alpin, pour un dénivelé négatif de près de 1000m jusqu’à Fäld
Une belle manière de rendre visite à nos voisins italiens, en empruntant les sentiers de nos ancêtres les Walser et plus tard des contrebandiers transportant des cigarettes.
I: Un'idea per un viaggio di due giorni dal Vallese, con un bonus 3-4 cache lungo la strada?
Dal piccolo villagio di Fäld, è possibile risalire il Binntal fino all’Abrunnpass, passo che vi farà passare anche in Italia.
Inoltre, il villaggio di Crampiolo, ai piedi del Lago di Devero, vi aspetta per una serata rilassante (prenotare in anticipo).
Il giorno dopo, dovrete attacchare con una salita costante verso il Geisspfad / Passo della Rossa. Raggiungerete la cache prima del passo. Il ritorno in Vallese, prosegue con un sentiero di ghiaia e attraverso il Mässersee, picholo gioiello del lago alpino, un dislivello di quasi 1000m su Fäld.
Un bel modo di visitare i nostri vicini italiani, per le vie dei nostri antenati Walser e piu tardi dei contrabbandieri che trasportavano sigarette.

From the small village of Fäld, you can climb to the Albrunnpass that brings you to Italy.
A bit further, the village of Crampiolo, at the foot of Lago di Devero, welcomes you for a refreshing night (do reserve in advance).
The next day, he will have to tackle a steady climb towards the Geisspfad / Passo della Rossa. You reach the cache before the pass. The return in Valais continues with a gravel path and through the Mässersee, an Alpine lake’s jewel, a vertical drop of almost 1000m down to Fäld.
A nice way to visit our Italian neighbors, by the paths of the Walser’s ancestors and later smugglers carrying cigarettes.
