How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed at the "gateway" to what is affectionally know as the Camphill Road.

This feature was build in 1960 as a gateway to a new school build for people with special needs. However, it is now also the entrance to a wine farm, an outdoors adventure camp, outdoors action activities and a trail / orienteering race once a year.

*After a rather wet winter, a cache site that was possible just a little wrong and current clearing and construction work taking place at the "old GZ", I have chosen to move the cache a little further down the road.

Cross over the afore-mention feature and drive down the road for a short distance. Because of possible bad reception under the trees, the best co-ordinates are now those of the parking area (on the East side of the road) S34.23.895 E019.12.919. From the parking area, follow the path to the "bridge" and exercising a small degree of caution, cross the bridge - remember to first look left and right.

Once on the other side of the bridge, you should arrive at S34.23.909 E019.12.936 (again, please note, due to the trees reception may be off - so do not wander off too far from the bridge), the rest is up to you - you can lead a horse to the water, but you cannot make it drink.

Special request: Please return cache carefully and ensure it is well concealed. Please exercise extreme caution if there is a camp on the go nearby, as this area is used as a throughfare by campers.
