Criminal Finds II (Part 2 of
3)
Part I | Part III
After uncovering the identity of the mysterious killer targeting
creative cachers in the Greater Charlotte area, the police posted a
wanted poster around the city in parks and strip malls hoping to
get a lead on the killer's whereabouts.
The first tip came in from two kids playing a game of Scotland
Yard on a picnic table in Idlewild Park:

| 9-1-1 Operator: |
'9-1-1, Please state your emergency?' |
| Anonymous Kids: |
'Hi. We think we saw that man from the wanted poster in
Idlewild Park.' |
| 9-1-1 Operator: |
'Is he still there now?' |
| Anonymous Kids: |
Yeah. He's been out messing around near the
geocaches.' |
| 9-1-1 Operator: |
'Geo-what?' |
| Anonymous Kids: |
'Seriously, lady? Please send the police!' |
| 9-1-1 Operator: |
'Where in the park did you see the man?' |
| Anonymous Kids: |
'First, we saw him at the parking lots but he quickly
entered the park running along the bike path. We followed him for a
good ways past the park bench before he darted off into the woods
like a song bird. We were about to head back to the parking lot to
call when we saw him come back out of the woods the same way he
bushwhacked into them.' |
| 9-1-1 Operator: |
'Alright. Then where did he go?' |
| Anonymous Kids: |
'We then followed him bushwhacking into woods to the west.
*whispering* We hid in the trees while he looked around for a bit.
He then bushwhacked out to the bike path and proceeded north for a
long ways making 3 or 4 stops before doubling back. We had to hide
when he passed by us and headed southeast. |
| 9-1-1 Operator: |
'We have two units en route to the park now. Please stay away
from the man and describe him to officers when they arrive.' |
| Anonymous Kids: |
'We'll be sure to tell them where he is when they
arrive!' |
