We thought it would be a good idea to organise a gathering of
local cachers for a BBQ to meet and greet some of our fellow
cachers.
This event is open to everyone and we encourage all new
geocachers to attend. We are planning on getting to the park at
10:30am and will have the BBQ at around 12pm. Feel free to come at
any time before the BBQ
We will provide snags and bread however if you could please
bring your own chairs and any extra meat you would like. Snacks,
treats, salads and other food of the like would be welcome.
On arrival, we will have some stickers for people to write their
names and team names on so we know who everyone is. We will also
provide a table to swap some TB's and GeoCoins so feel free to
"Drop Off" the item in the event before the 21st.
Although the shelters in the park do seat a large group of
people, could everyone that has one, please bring a chair just so
no one will miss out. Also, if you have a spare table, maybe this
would be a good idea too. We are going to bring along a pop-up
shelter as I am sure that the two shelters near each other in the
park, will not be enough. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for
us, please feel free to add a note to the event.
This park is fairly new and has everything you need to entertain
the family for the day. There are a few bmx bike tracks and other
bike areas for the kids, so bring along the bikes too. There are
two tennis courts in the park and about 10 covered BBQ areas with
plenty of room to run around. This park caters for all ages and has
a lot to offer. There is also a dog 'off-leash' area across the
road, in case you wanted to bring the geopuppy for a play later in
the day. The playground here is also, very impressive! Well worth
the drive.
We hope to see you all there
