A cache closed
to the dirt road from Monastery Odigitrias to Agiofarago.
The cave
church of Agias Kiriakis is located between Moni Odigitrias and Agiofarago.
This area is inhabitant since the Minoan times as recent excavation show.
Probably this place was used as a temple from the ancient times. During the
Roman times this cave was used as a prison. You still can see the hooks for the
prisoners at the wall. Later the hermits of the area transformed the cave to a
church in honor of Agias Kiriakis.
The cache
is located a few meters above the entrance of the church.
