Geocache Description:

A short multi in a lovely part of Sunbury.

Welcome to a favourite part of Sunbury enjoyed by many of the residents as a place of recreation and relaxation. You can take a stroll through the park, walk the dog or simply relax on the grassy bank with the sound of water in the background as it rushes over the rapids, the site I believe, of the original ford in the area dating back to the gold rush era and even earlier when this part of Victoria was first settled by George Evans who named his sheep property Emu Bottom only a year after the first ships sailed into Port Phillip Bay.

At the listed coordinates is a plaque commemorating the life of young Colin Bolger. The Sunbury Historical Society tells me the unfortunate youngster rode his push bike into the very deep water hole and never resurfaced.

On to the cache. To find the prize –

NOTE. There is no need to go under the structure.

Please try to maintain the integrity of the hide by keeping a watch out for muggles as this is a high traffic area and they can approach or be watching from any direction.

Enjoy.
