Geocache Description:

Longham United Reform Church (URC) was built in 1841 in the colonial style. The building often reminds people of a New England Church. The church is often referred to as the Church on the Corner, as it is built on the junction of three busy roads north of the Bournemouth and Poole connurbation.

The coordinates given are for the information board in the church grounds. To find the cache you will need to seek the gravestone of Thomas Kent Sutton and his wife Mary Nalder. You will need to gather the following pieces of information.

The month Mary Nalder died = A

The day Thomas Kent Sutton died =B

The year of Thomas Kent Sutton's death = CDE1

The cache is at :

N50 47.EAD

W 001 54.B(B+C)B

There is enough parking near the church, and the cache is a short walk away (about 1/3 of a mile) down a bridleway. The church is located at a very busy road junction, so please keep an eye on any little ones you might have with you. You are looking for a small tupperware box, containing a logbook, and some goodies (!) for the first to find.

For those using Google Maps/Earth, the area of the cache has changed somewhat since the satellite image was taken due to the building of Longham Lakes

If anyone would like to expand this series please do. We would just ask that you contact sadexploration first so that he can keep track of the church numbers and names and to avoid duplication.
