The marina will busy this weekend with a Bass Fishing Tournament
so expect parking to be bad, but there are a lot of garages and
parking areas.
WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs – A fun and friendly
way to promote geocaching around the world. Thousands of geocachers
at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe, gathering at
the same time.
These events have a basic set of rules:
1. Hold the event on the official, announced day, preferably at the
official time
2. The event should last only 15 minutes
3. Take a group picture
4. Collect the number of people attended for statistical
purposes
5. Be creative and Have fun! The event will last exactly 15
minutes, not one second longer.
The event will begin EXACTLY at: 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 4,
2011, and will end at EXACTLY 1:15 PM. You MUST be present and sign
a log sheet DURING this time to claim the event.
Timeline
12:45 – 12:59 p.m. Do not go anywhere near GZ. Do not talk
to your fellow cachers. Just be a muggle and enjoy the scenery, go
shopping, or grab yourself a bite to eat.
At 12:59 p.m. Make your way to GZ.
1:00 p.m. Meet at GZ. A log sheet will be issued. A
“Container” will be present for coin and bug trades.
You can mingle, talk about your favorite hides, or even plan a
future caching trip.
1:10 p.m. Assemble for group photo. We have limited time here,
so we have to get together FAST for the photo.
1:14 p.m. A ONE MINUTE WARNING will be issued for all trades and
conversations to be wrapped up. Prize drawing!
1:15 p.m. Everyone leaves GZ. You are allowed talk to one
another now, as long as you are not a GZ. There are caches all
around the area.
Theme
Pirates
You can come as a pirate, bring a parrot (real or stuffed), wear
an eye-patch, have a wooden leg, or just as yourself. Just have fun
with it.
Parking
There is lots of parking all around the event, but its pay
parking (Even on the weekend).
