The cache is not at the posted coordinates but you can find the
coordinates in the puzzle below. The posted coordinates may be a
good place to park but could make for a long walk if the cache is
actually located in Kentucky or South America. This is the parking
lot for the East Branch Forest Preserve. This Preserve is noted for
the off-leash dog area consisting of the entire south half of East
Branch.
Cache is a cammod 1 quart screw-lid Rubbermaid container so lots of
room for trade items. FTF gets 1 dollar in US currency!! Written on
the inside of the lid is a clue for “It’s So
Random!” (GC2RWKW) You can often find me here on a Saturday
or Sunday morning with my dog Parker - a Fox Red Labrador
Retriever.
In our household, you cannot mention the words “dog
park” without exciting Parker. We have taken to spelling it
out but I think she is learning how to spell. Parker LOVES the dog
park! She loves to retrieve her tennis ball, swim, run, roll in
stinky things like dead fish, smell butts, pee every 10 steps (to
mark her territory I guess) and chase ducks, geese and herons even
though she has never come close to catching one. Nothing in her
life is better than a trip to the dog park. I encourage you to make
use of this park with your dog, however, you are required to have a
permit which is $40/year. And please, clean up after your pet (but
as you walk through the park you can see how well this ordinance is
observed: Lots of “Land Mines!”)
