West Tisted is a very pleasant village, and it's church and manor house form an attractive group typical of the small villages in this part of Hampshire. The church is Saxon in origin and has a Norman font and a roof whose beams are 700 years old.
There is a large Jacobean altar table and a delightful tablet to Sir Benjamin Tichborne and his wife. Not far from the church is a large ancient oak tree, in whose welcoming foliage Sir Benjamin hid from Cromwell's forces in the Civil War.
