Geocache Description:

Located in the rugged Mule Mts. west of Blythe and about a half mile southeast of Gils Hill GC346E Tremendous 360 degree view. Seldom visited, last entry in the peak register was 2005 and the one before that was 2001. Come enter your name.......

Gils Hill GC is a tremendous aid. Check out the logs, photos, and instructions. If you haven't done it yet, make it a 2fer. You can follow my instructions or choose another way. It's up to you.
I parked along the Opal Mine Rd. at N33 27.131 W114 52.586 and made my way north to a saddle, picked up the Indian Trail and followed it all the way to N33 27.796 W114 52.451. This is the saddle on the east side of Gils Hill. Here the "trail" turns to the southeast for a quarter mile or so, crosses a wash, then turns back to the north. When you get to the wash, scramble south up to the saddle then east to the summit. Use extreme caution on the crag. Lots of loose rock here! This is very rugged country and all hazards are in play here.
