Early last Saturday morning I woke up to a harsh rapping on my door. I open it up and it is a strangely dressed bald man who says he works for an person who prefers to remain nameless. It seems they require my services for a certain monetary fee on top of the money in the envelope he handed me as he is talking. It seems there was a location in Northern Virginia which is suppose to be a portal of sorts. Last mention of it he said was during the Civil War around 150 years ago. On the other side there is a group of what seems to be dwarfs or as he called them "hybrids" who come here to our world and steal technologies using a certain code to navigate the vortex of mazes that make up the portal which seem to lead people astray with tricks. I asked for where this information was attained but he would not talk of it or where it came from. He then explained to me how my only services would be to find the entrance (posted coordinates above). During his talk he showed me a coin like item (to prove there is proof), but I only saw one side. I ended up memorizing the design and I quickly drew up a sketch just in case it was needed when I find the vortex.
After a few days of sleepless nights going over a ton of old maps I saw one of Signal Hill that looked slightly odd. While at gas station I see a slight depression across the street (posted coordinates) and look it over. It seems quite probable so I decide to come back at night with a shovel and see what I can uncover with just a few hours of darkness.
Within an hour I find air. I try to enlarge the opening enough to get better ventilation and stand back from the musty air. Sometimes it can kill you, so you can never be too careful. After 30 minutes or so I begin to uncover the rest of the opening and it reminded me of something I saw recently. The eye on the coin was the tunnel entrance, not an eye. I had the sketch of the coin and a lamp and I decide to go in to see what I see next. At the first point I see three symbols, but which one do I choose to move forward???
Directions: Go to the posted coordinates and then use the sketch to get you through the various intersections you will run into (if you get to a node and there is nothing, turn right or keep going straight). By the end you should know what to do next.
