The goal for our outing was
Rocky Heights by mtbikeroz, however once the weather had turned
from just wet, to wet AND windy a very sensible group
decision was made.
But we had come quite far.... and we were at a rather nice
(albeit cold and exposed) rocky outcrop. If there had been any
chance of seeing the horizon I suspect there would have been decent
views. There were still decent views...those of the smiling faces
of the group. A tenacious band of cachers who didn't WANT to admit
that the weather was too bad to go on, but whose wisdom made them
do it.
So, to mark the occasion a rustle through packs was made... a
few goodies were scrounged... a sistema that could be sacrificed
was donated... a note pad and pen was located... and there you have
it... a cache is born.
Could we have gone further? Of course we could! (Note: to get
just this far you should allow around 6 hours return.) Would
continuing have been wise? Weeelllllll.........
