Just The Facts Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

cachbefound: Unfortunately this puzzle was based on a PDF document that Groundspeak has removed from the site. Although I managed to find a replacement reference I’ve decided to punt this one in favor of something else. In the mean time I recommend TNS’s Just The Facts (California Edition) GC2T4T0 puzzle.

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

As a public service to our new geocaching members, I'm providing some useful facts.

  • The word Geocaching refers to GEO for geography, and to CACHING, the process of hiding a cache.
  • People of all ages seek caches, so geocachers should think carefully before placing an item into a cache.
  • The word Geocaching is pronounced Geo-cashing, like cashing a check.
  • A cache in computer terms is information usually stored in memory to make it faster to retrieve.
  • Geocachers should not move a cache from its original location.
  • Geocaching is relatively free, unlike cashing a check.
  • If you take something from the cache, leave something of equal or greater value.
  • No, a volunteer does not physically check a cache before it gets published.
  • Although the word cache is spelled with an e it is not pronounced.
  • Nomex, Hemlock and Krypton have all published my caches well within 72 hours.
  • I usually do not leave live ammunition in caches.
  • I pronounce cachbefound as cache - bee - found or cee-be-ef.
