Zum mittlerweile sechsten Mal findet der Cachathon Germanicum statt. An insgesamt drei Tagen (vom 02.09 bis 04.09.) kann man dieses Jahr in und um Bad Berka Dosen suchen, Bekannte treffen, die Gegend erkunden, etwas für seine Fitness tun und vor allem viel Spaß haben.

Los geht's am 02.09. mit einem kleinen Aufwärm-Nachtcache-Event in Hetschburg.

Am 03.09. ist das Hauptevent Cachathon Germanicum MMXI in Bad Berka, dieses Mal unter dem Motto "Cache-O-poly". Was das genau bedeutet…lasst euch überraschen! Willkommen sind natürlich alle Cacher, ob Groß oder Klein, ob Jung oder Alt, ob Mann oder Frau.

Ihr seid alle herzlich dazu eingeladen, am Cachathon-Wettbewerb teilzunehmen. Beim Cachathon können Teams von 3-5 Personen starten. Die Auswertung erfolgt durch TerraTouching Software ausschliesslich anhand eurer GPS Track-Aufzeichnungen. Den Besten winken tolle Preise und Pokale. Die Gewinner bekommen zusätzlich für ein Jahr den begehrten Wanderpokal . Die genauen Bedingungen, sowie alle notwendigen Informationen findet ihr hier. Für die Teilnahme müssen wir eine kleine Gebühr erheben, um unsere Auslagen für Raummieten, Preise, etc. zu decken. Außerdem arbeiten wir sehr eng mit dem zuständigen Forstamt zusammen, um mögliche Probleme und Missverständnisse zu vermeiden. Auch dadurch fallen Kosten an. Die Teilnahmegebühr beträgt daher 15 Euro pro Team (3-5 Personen). Dieser Betrag sollte spätestens bis 28.08.2011 auf unserem Konto (siehe Anmeldeformular) eingehen. Natürlich sind auch kurzfristige Teambildungen und deren Anmeldungen möglich, dann jedoch mit 5 Euro Aufpreis. Bezahlt dies vor Ort dann bitte in bar!

Wir bitten euch darum, in eurem Will-Attend Log mitzuteilen, ob ihr beim Wettbewerb mitmachen möchtet und, sobald sich euer Team zusammen gefunden hat, euch anzumelden.

Dieses Jahr findet endlich wieder ein PokerRun statt. Auch hier erwarten euch tolle Preise. Beim PokerRun müsst ihr zwei bestimmte Caches finden, für die ihr, wenn ihr wieder am Eventort ankommt, von der Orga Spielkarten erhaltet. Zusammen mit den 3 Karten des Dealers gewinnt das höchste Blatt. Bitte gebt in eurem Log an, ob ihr an der Teilnahme Interesse habt! Die Teilnahmegebühr wird sich dabei auf 3 Euro belaufen(personenbezogen). Bitte bezahlt diesen Betrag bar vor Ort.

Wer nicht am Wettbewerb teilnimmt, der kann natürlich frei cachen wie er möchte. Die neu gelegten Caches werden ca. 2 Stunden nach Wettbewerbsstart für alle freigegeben. Außerdem könnt ihr euch den ganzen Tag über vor Ort aufhalten, essen, trinken und quatschen. Es wird natürlich auch einige Marktstände geben, wo man zum Beispiel Coins und Geocachingzubehör kaufen oder sich tolle Sachen anschauen kann. Am 04.09. veranstaltet die Kurstadt Bad Berka ihren zweiten Gesundheitstag. Bei diesem Sportevent könnt ihr euch über viele Angebote aus den Bereichen Gesundheit und Fitness informieren und diese vor Ort nutzen. Wir und einige Standbetreiber vom Vortag werden auch zu dieser Veranstaltung vertreten sein. Vielleicht hat der Eine oder Andere Lust, hier nochmal vorbei zu schauen :-)

For its sixth time now, the Cachathon Germanicum takes place. This year, on a total of three days (from September 2nd through September 4th), one can search for boxes and containers, get together with friends or meet new, like-minded people, get to know the surroundings, exercise, and, most importantly, have fun.

It starts on September 2nd with a small Warm-up-Night-Cache-Event in Hetschburg.

On September 3rd, there is the main event Cachathon Germanicum MMXI in Bad Berka, this time under the motto "Cache-O-poly". What exactly that means... Surprise! All geocachers, whether big or small, young or old, male or female, are invited. The detailed schedule will be made public here in the coming few weeks.

You are all welcome to participate in the Cachathon-contest. At the Cachathon, teams from 3 till 5 people can compete against each other. The evaluation is done through TerraTouching software, solely on the basis of your GPS device’s tracklogs. The best of you will receive great prizes and trophies. The winners will additionally get the treasured challenge cup for one year. The precise terms and conditions and any additional information needed can be found here. Participants will be charged a small fee, which will cover the expenses for location, rentals, prizes, etc. Furthermore, we work closely with the forestry commission office, in order to avoid possible problems and misunderstandings. So, there are some more costs, too. Therefore, the participation fee will be 15 € per team (3-5 people). Please transfer this amount to our account (see register formular!) until August 28th at the latest. Of course, you can also form your teams and register them at the last minute, but then there will be a 5 € extra charge. Pay this cash at the event.

We would like to ask you tell in your will-attend-log whether you want to participate in the contest and, as soon as you find your team, to register.

This year, there will finally again be a PokerRun, with great prizes, too. Here, you have to find two specific caches, for which you will receive poker cards from the organization team when you return to the event location. Together with the 3 cards from the dealer, the highest hand wins. Please state in your log whether you are interested in taking part in the PokerRun. The participation fee will be 3 € (per participating person).

Those who don’t want to participate in the contest can cache as they feel like, of course. The new hidden caches will be published for everybody approximately 2 hours after the contest-start. Furthermore, one can spend the whole day at the event location eating, drinking and chatting. There will be market stands, where one can buy geocoins and geocaching equipment for instance, or where one can have a look at and/or try on other cool stuff. On September 4th, the spa town Bad Berka hosts its second „Health Day“. At this sports event, you can get lots of information about topics like health and fitness, and experience other offers and attractions there. The organization team and some market vendors of the previous day will be present at this event. Maybe, some of you feel like stopping by again, too. :-)
