Geocache Description:

Nanos aren't really our thing but Carlisle is such an interesting place, some locations are worth sharing. Enjoy the views over the gardens. I’ve made the hint fool proof as clearly, people always don’t read the instructions.

The existing bridge was designed by Sir Robert Smirke in 1815 and widened to double it's width in 1932. It has 5 arches and is the primary route into the city from the North Eden Bridge Gardens have recently undergone a transformation. They had fallen into disrepair and neglect and were a mere shadow of the original gardens built in the 1930s by Percy Dalton, the City's Engineer. They have recently been restored so that once again, local residents can enjoy the planted borders, shrubberies and ornamental ponds overlooking Carlisle and the River Eden. Please just use initials on the log to save space
