Das Donauried südlich von Dillingen ist eine ansprechende Natur- und Freizeitlandschaft. Es gibt hier in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft einen Golfclub und eine Vielzahl von Baggerseen mit z. T. noch aktivem Kiesabbau, die im Sommer zum Baden einladen. Die Suche nach dem Cache beginnt am Golfclub und endet an einem dieser Badeseen. Die einfache Entfernung beträgt rund 1,3 km, man kann aber auf mehreren Wegen zum Ziel gelangen.
Gleich am Anfang des Wegs, der für Kraftfahrzeuge gesperrt ist, sind kurz hintereinander drei Fragen zu beantworten, deren Lösung die Ziel-Koordinate vervollständigt. Die Antworten ergeben in deutscher und englischer Sprache das gleiche Ergebnis.
Der Cache ist eigentlich immer zugänglich, außer es hat im Winter stark geschneit. Das ist in dieser Gegend aber eher selten und der Schnee bleibt auch nicht lang liegen. Viel mehr Spaß macht das Suchen aber im Sommer. Da gibt es eine schöne Bade- und Picknick-Stelle am Südufer, an der auch Kinder ins Wasser gehen können.
Zugang zum See gibt es auch noch an ein paar anderen Stellen, doch Achtung: Hier geht es ganz steil ins Wasser, das sofort tief ist. Hier sollten nur geübte Schwimmer Erfrischung suchen!
Wenn Du müde vom Baden und/oder der Schatzsuche bist und Hunger oder Durst aufkommt, gehst Du einfach zum Restaurant am Parkplatz zurück, wo es leckere Speisen und Getränke gibt. Du kannst aber auch am See bleiben und einen der wirklich spektakulären Sonnenuntergänge bewundern, die es hier gibt.

The Danube valley south of Dillingen offers plenty of natural and recreational areas. One example is the immediate neighbourhood of a golf club and re-naturalized gravel pits, nowadays natural swimming lakes. The search for the cache starts at the golf club and ends at the shore of one of these lakes. The single distance is about 1.3 km, and there are different ways to get to the target.
At the beginning of the road which is closed for motor vehicles there are three questions to answer in short distances. They can be answered in English language as well as in German. The results complete the coordinates of the cache.
The cache is open nearly all year round. Only after heavy snowfall in winter it is completely hidden. But this happens quite seldom in this area and doesn't last long, usually. Much more fun it is seeking the cache in summer. There is a small swimming and picknick area at the south shore of the lake where it is safe for children to go into the water.
There is access to the lake at other places also, but please pay attention: the rim is very steep there and the water is deep immediately. There only good swimmers should seek their refreshment!
When you are tired of swimming or hunting for the cache you can go back to the restaurant at the parking lot where the serve good food and drinks, local beer included! Or you stay at the lake and marvel one of the spectacular sunsets which are not seldom here.
