One of the most beautiful of Florida State Parks, the Ichetucknee Springs State Park is also one of the busiest from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Expect long lines to get into the park on Saturday and Sunday during that time of year. You get to this cache through the south entrance of the park.
The Ichetucknee Springs State Park supports a moderate deer population along with countless birds, river critters and wildflowers. Swimming, tubing, picnicking and hiking in the summer months make a visit to the park an all day affair. No shuttles or concessions operate in the winter months, but scuba diving, snorkeling, canoeing and kayaking along with hiking the numerous trails make the quiet months a pleasure. Full details can be obtained from the park website and brochures.
Cache is located within ten feet off the midpoint nature trail. No bushwacking and do not use the paved tram road. Traffic is constant during summer season.
