We set out to place this cache with the hope that we could get it within view of the Googong Quarry. We succeeded better than we could have hoped!
--The Area-- The walk up to the GZ consists of rocky paths and water courses. It's an easy hike for most but as usual, watch where you step as it's easy to turn your ankle on the loose rocks. You may notice the change from granite to quartz rocks along the walk. The view from GZ looks right down into the pit to the south east, and the slag piles to the east. The GZ is not accessible from the east - that's where the quarry is! --Parking-- Parking in Wentworth Ct, Lana Pl or Lawson Pl in Jerrabomberra will allow you access to the bushland reserve. Alternatively you can also park on Edwin Land Parkway (which didn't exist when this cache was originally placed). --The Cache-- The cache itself is a standard lock-type plastic container, inside a camouflaged nylon drawstring bag. It's not completely concealed, and will rely more on its isolation to keep it hidden from muggles. The cache contains the usual notebook, pencil and sharpener, plus a special First To Find LEGO minifig, the same as my other placed caches.
