Geocache Description:

A start to a 2.5 mile(est) walk (or mountian bike) over the Heywoods to find 7 caches that will bring you back towards plump hill, there is a 8th cache which can be found on your way back to your car,  With no big terrain differences the caches are placed around the top of the hill giving a fairly easy walk, all but number 7 are on or just off main paths,

After each cache return to the main path to the next,I dont recommend trying to short cut....

Each of the caches will show you different parts of the Heywoods like working free miners, large scowles,Caves, woodland were buzzards hover over and old Iron mines, although the main use of heywood and edgehills is plantation there are some parts left to broad leaved trees,

If your unsure of the area just follow the cache's in order of placing and read each page.

Fairplay was a mine with alot of history but the cache is not near the old mine,(but isnt hard to find if you want to take a look)its placed at a junction, here you will find a stone marker next to Gore brook that runs from Merring Meend,The cache is a small round snap/snap tub.
