The Church a grade II listed building is situated away from the centre of the village, standing in a church yard surrounded by fields in an idyllic location with a beautiful view. The Church is always open and well worth a look inside. It attracts a substantial number of visitors who are struck by the beauty of the surroundings and by the sense of peace and tranquility they find here.
In the churchyard you can also see a puddingstone part of the Puddingstone Trail which runs from Stonehenge to Thetford where it joins the prehistoric Icknield Way, and also (according to legend) explains why St Botolphs was built just here.
If anybody would like to expand on this series please do so. Could you please let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
