This multi-cache is a teamwork challenge. You may try on your own, but it will take a long time ... With 3 teams, this should be a 3x4 km "walk in the park" ....

Teamwork preparation


PS! This "guideline" contains only recommendations, you may solve this challenge any other way that you find appropriate!

Assemble 3 teams/geocachers, each with a GPS unit and a cellular phone. Go to the Start position (coordinates N59 55.020 and E10 43.030). Close to this grid point you will find an installation with a alphanumeric text with format "FS09xyz". Use the x, y and z numbers to calculate 3 new starting points and move one team to each position. Follow the instructions given for each Route below, and you will be awarded in the end. Please also note that there are 3 digits in the decimal minutes, so an answer like "53" means "053".Happy hunting.

Get started!

Close to this spot (coordinates N59 55.000 and E10 43.000), you will find a parking pay station. On this station, there is a serial number (1 letter and 3 digits, black colour). Write down the number as Axyz. Calculate the starting points for each Route as follows (please note, "abc" means number written with 3 digits, NOT multiplication):

  • Route 1: Go to position N59 (48+x).(xyz-225) E10 (39+y).(xyz+170)
  • Route 2: Go to position N59 (54+z).(xyz-168) E10 (42+y).(xyz-661)
  • Route 3: Go to position N59 (53+y).(xyz-633) E10 (36+x).(xyz-41)


Route 1

Welcome to Route 1
  • Step R1-S1: On this spot you will find an information board with a series of numbers. Take a note of the largest number in this series. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 2. On this information board, your position is marked. Which of the numbers mentioned above is closest to your position? This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 3. Next, you will need two numbers, one from each of Route 2 and Route 3, to go to the next step. Use these two numbers to calculate the position of step R1-S2 as follows: N59 (47 + Number from route 3).(20 x Number from route 2 + 207) E10 (34 + Number from route 3).(10 x Number from route 2 - 103). Go to step R1-S2
  • Step R1-S2: Here you will find a sign with a name. Count the number of letters. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 2. Take a note of the first and last letter in the name. Let A=1, B=2 etc. Calculate the sum of these two letters and give this number to your colleague on Route 3. Next, you will need two numbers, one from each of Route 2 and Route 3, to go to the next step. Use these numbers to calculate the position of step R1-S3 as follows: N59 (42 + Number from route 2).(18 x Number from route 3 + 74) E10 (29 + Number from route 2).(13 x Number from route 3 - 186). Go to step R1-S3
  • Step R1-S3: Count number of benches around the statue (B) as well as the number of people in the statue (P). You are now exactly [B * B * P + 520] meters from the cache. Happy hunting!


Route 2

Welcome to Route 2
  • Step R2-S1: Here you will find a blue plaquett, with information about this historical place. There are 5 years mentioned on this plaquett. Find the last digit in the largest number and multiply with the last digit of the smallest number. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 1. On this blue plaquett, there is also mentioned a name. Count the number of letters in the familiy name. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 3. Next, you will need two numbers, one from each of Route 1 and Route 3, to go to the next step. Use these two numbers to calculate the position of step R2-S2 as follows: N59 (42 + Number from route 1).(7 x Number from route 3 + 394) E10 (30 + Number from route 1).(23 x Number from route 3 + 538). Go to step R2-S2
  • Step R2-S2: You are now in front of a building. Count the number of letters on the facade of the building. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 1. Take a note of the last two digits in the year that is also written on the facade. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 3. Next, you will need two numbers, one from each of Route 1 and Route 3, to go to the next step. Use these numbers to calculate the position of step R2-S3 as follows: N59 (47 + Number from route 3).(47 x Number from route 1 + 344) E10 (35 + number from route 3).(63 x Number from route 1 + 329). Go to step R2-S3
  • Step R2-S3:You are now close to a sculpture. Count the number of letters in the artists name (A) as well as the number of letters in the name of the person that is depicted here (P). You are now exactly [A * A + P * P + 134] meters from the cache. Happy hunting!


Route 3

Welcome to Route 3
  • Step R3-S1: Here you will find a statue of a historical person. Count the number of letters in the family name of the artist. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 1. Count the number of letters in the full name of the person that is depicted here. Give the result to your colleague on Route 2. Next, you will need two numbers, one from each of Route 1 and Route 2, to go to the next step. Use these numbers to calculate the position of step R3-S2 as follows: N59 (48 + Number from route 2).(100 - 14 x Number from route 1) E10 (36 + Number from route 2).(100 x Number from route 1 + 44). Go to step R3-S2
  • Step R3-S2: Here you will find another statue of a historical person. On the nearest corner of the base of the statue, there is a small plaquett. Count the number of letters in the second line of the text. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 1. Also count the number of letters in the first name of the artist. This number you will have to give to your colleague on Route 2. Next, you will need two numbers, one from each of Route 1 and Route 2, to go to the next step. Use these two numbers to calculate the position of step R3-S3 as follows: N59 (34 + Number from route 2).(17 x Number from route 1 + 494) E10 (24 + Number from route 2).(9 x Number from route 1 - 138). Go to step R3-S3
  • Step R3-S3: Close to this position you will find an installation with several persons depicted. Count the number of letters in the full name of the middle person (M) as well as the last number in the year when this statue was erected (L). You are now exactly [M * M * L - 371] meters from the cache. Happy hunting!
