Dobová fotografie zachytila úctyhodné obcany mesta Breclavi u pomníku, který se do dnešních dnu nezachoval. Pomník sjednocení byl odhalen 30.9.1934, jako připomenutí podílu legionářů na vzniku Československa. Bohužel byl 30.9.1934 stržen místními Němci, kteří se připravovali na příjezd německé armády. Na místě, kde stával, zůstal zarostlý kruhový betonový základ. Dum v pozadí patril panu Capkovi, starostovi mesta Breclavi.

Pomník stával v místech, kde se sbíhají ctyri ulice. Mužeme sem dojít po jedné z nich, bez mála ctyri stovky metru dlouhé, azimutem 212°. Tri z nich vytvárejí témer dokonalou šipku. Špice šipky je rozevrena na 66°. Ctvrtou ulicí mužeme z místa odejít jižním smerem.
