Hello, my name is Ted Baker and I'd like to take you on a tour around the explosives factory where I worked making something we called "The Devil's Porridge". That's me in the picture above, I was a handsome chap don't you think, and modest to! The factory was called The British Explosives Syndicate and it was built in 1888 and continued in production until the early 1920's when it became a Sea Transport Depot for the Ministry of Defence. You'll hear more from me on the tour, but now my Great Grandson would like to say a few words.

The site is now called Wat Tyler Country Park and details of the facilities and opening hours can be found by clicking here. The walk is about 3 miles long and has 22 stages so please allow yourself at least 2 hours to complete it.

This is my first attempt at a wherigo cache, I just hope it works OK! It was created using Earwigo builder and the cartridge can be downloaded by following this link here.

In order to complete a wherigo cache you need at least one of the following devices:

·        A Garmin Oregon or Colorado (software built into device).

·       An Android phone (you need an app called "Whereyougo").

·       An i-Phone (you need an app called "Wherigo").

·       A PDA (download the software from this link here.

I tested the cartridge on a Oregon 450T and it worked fine and a ASUS PDA and whilst it worked OK, it did take longer to load the message at each location. To help with the testing and to ensure that the cartridge is fully compatible with all devices, I'd really appreciate it if you could mention in your logs which devices you used to play it on and any problems you noticed, or whether everything went smoothly.

And last (but by no means least), a huge thanks to Cass of Cassandy for her inspiration, encouragement  and considerable technical assistance in getting this cache published, thanks Cass, you're a star.
