St Andrew’s is a Grade II* listed church that dates from
1230, built on the banks of the River Meon on the site of an
earlier church, which is long since lost. The setting of St
Andrew’s is outstandingly beautiful and the building itself
has recently undergone extensive repair and refurbishment,
restoring it to its full glory. Access to the church is by a narrow
lane behind the Bucks Head Inn and, though parking is restricted
along the lane, you can park along the road from the A32 up to the
entrance to the lane.
If anybody would like to expand on this series please do so.
Could you please let sadexploration know first so he can keep track
of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
