Brandys - St. Boleslav #12 ( Katovna )
Renesancni budova brandyské katovny se zachovalou sgrafitovou vyzdobou se nachazi v historicky vyznamné casti Nizsi Hradek a byla postavena pravdepodobne v 16. stoleti. Nejpozdeji od 17. stoleti slouzila jako obydli zdejsich katu, kteri v Brandyse nad Labem vykonavali své remeslo az do roku 1765, kdy Marie Terezie v ramci reorganizace hrdelnich soudu odnala mestu popravci pravo. Od té doby se katovna vyuzivala jiz jen jako pohodnice, kde se odstranovala uhynula zvirata. Jako jedna zmala zachovanych katoven patri nejen k vyznamnym pamatkam tohoto mesta, ale i k vyjimecnym dokladum hrdelniho prava u nas.
Objekt brandyské katovny muzeum ziskalo v sedesatych letech 20. stoleti v havarijnim stavu. Brzy nasledovala rekonstrukce, pri niz byla mimo jiné odkryta sgrafita na celni strane budovy, a katovna pak slouzila jako vystavni prostor. Po prestehovani muzea ze zamku na namesti v osmdesatych letech minulého stoleti byl v katovne zrizen depozitar a objekt se verejnosti nadobro uzavrel.
Nova nakladna rekonstrukce katovny probehla v letech 2000-2001. Hlavnim zamerem rekonstrukce bylo zamezit dlouhodobé vlhkosti, zvlaste ve spodni casti budovy. V roce 2008 muzeum zpristupnilo nejstarsi mistnosti katovny verejnosti a instalovalo zde novou expozici, ktera je vzhledem k historii budovy venovana dejinam hrdelniho a utrpného prava.
Pamatnik v podobe prosteho kamenneho krize a pomistni nazev Stinadla pripomina misto, kde byvalo mestske popraviste. Toto misto lezelo tehdy zapadne od mesta. Dnes lezi Stinadla uprostred mestske zastavby. Poslednim brandyskym katem, ktery v renesancni katovne v ulici v ulici S. K. Neumanna

Brandys - St. Boleslav #12 ( Executioner House )
Renaissance building House of executioner is preserved graffiti is located in the historic part of the Nizsi Hradek and was probably built in the 16th century. Latest from 17 century to serve as executioners of the local homes, which in Brandys nad Labem, carried on his trade until 1765, when Maria Theresa in the reorganization of the capital court removed the right of the town executioner. Expensive new reconstructions took place in 2000-2001. The main intention was to avoid long-term reconstruction of moisture, especially in the lower part of the building. In 2008 the museum opened to the public oldest room and installed a new exhibition here, which is due to the history of the building devoted to the history of capital punishment and torture.
