PL: Osadnictwo na tych rejonach siega 4000 lat p.n.e. Ziemia obfitowala w zloza rudy darniowej, przetapiano tu zelazo na potrzeby plugów rolniczych (XVw.). Niestety po jakims czasie zloza sie skonczyly i pobliska hute zamknieto (XVIw.). Ponowny rozkwit miejscowosci datuje sie na druga polowe XIXwieku, kiedy to otworzono tu cukrownie, do której z czasie wlasciciel dobudowal gorzelnie. Cukrownia zmienila wlascicieli, ale kolejni spadkobiercy zamkneli ja, a grunty sprzedali. Ale w okolicy powstawaly kolejne fabryki. Rozwojowi Rudy sprzyjalo dobre polaczenie komunikacyjne z Lodzia. Na poczatku XX w Ruda Pabianicka otrzymala prawa osady fabrycznej, dzieki czemu powstalo tu jeszcze wiecej zakladów. Z osady wylaczono obreb geodezyjny Ruda-Las, gdzie w pózniej zbudowano wille letniskowe nalezace do lódzkich fabrykantów. W 1923 roku Ruda Pabianicka otrzymala prawa miejskie. Zamieszkiwana byla glównie przez ludnosc pochodzenia niemieckiego i zydowskiego co bylo nie bez znaczenia w czasie wojny. Dzialal tu jednak ruch oporu. W czasie wojny stracila status samodzielnego miasta i byla traktowana jako poludniowa dzielnica Lodzi. Po zajeciu przez Rosjan na jakis czas odzyskala przedwojenny status samodzielnego miasta, w 1946 roku zostala jednak wlaczona do Lodzi. Nadal jednak sprawia wrazenie oddzielnej miejscowosci i tak jest tez traktowana przez Lodzian.
Skrzynka ukryta w jednym z najwyzszych punktów okolicy, na granicy Rudy, w poblizu ruin dawnej szkoly i remontowanej willi Klara. W narozniku ruin piwniczki.
