The Hot Springs

In the town of Clark, near the right bank of the River Tamega, spring water composition only in Iberia (hyperthermal, bicarbonate, sodium, and mesomineralizadas gasocarbónicas). Located in the urban center on the right bank of the River Tamega and close to several hotels, the spa complex is surrounded by a landscape of undeniable beauty, with two structures must see: The Power of the People and Buvete, which receive annually around one million visitors, free of charge, enjoy the famous Caldas de Chaves.

With nearly 6,000 m², the spa center, as calculated for the attendance of 15,000 users per year), consists of five buildings connected by an atrium of hexagonal shape, characteristic, (Sector Reception, Care and Recreation).

As Águas Termais

Na cidade de Chaves, junto à margem direita do Rio Tâmega, brotam águas de composição única na Península Ibérica (hipertermais, bicarbonatadas, sódicas, mesomineralizadas e gasocarbónicas). Reza a história que, na época do domínio romano, as legiões, após as suas incursões bélicas, deleitavam-se nas águas ferventes da cidade de Aquae Flaviae, recuperando forças, tratando das várias maleitas que os atingiam (no corpo e na alma).

As águas quentes de Chaves têm tradição milenar na cura de afecções músculo-esqueléticas, do aparelho digestivo e respiratórias e aproveitar estas propriedades medicinais para a prevenção e a cura de afecções contemporâneas (stress, cansaço, ansiedade).

Localizado no centro urbano, na margem direita do Rio Tâmega e na proximidade de várias unidades hoteleiras, o complexo termal está envolvido por uma paisagem de beleza incontestável, com duas estruturas de visita obrigatória: A Fonte do Povo e a Buvete, que recebem, anualmente, cerca de um milhão de visitantes que, a título gratuito, saboreiam as afamadas Caldas de Chaves.

Com cerca de 6000m², o estabelecimento termal, calculado para o atendimento de 15000 utentes por ano), é constituído por cinco edifícios interligados por um átrio de formato hexagonal, característico, (o Sector de Recepção, Atendimento e de Lazer).

Destaca-se que, num dos edifícios, funciona o Sector Clínico com Consultórios Médicos e um Gabinete de Enfermagem; por outros dois edifícios, interligados por um túnel, distribuem-se os Serviços de Balneoterapia (cabines de hidromassagem, de duche de Vichy, de duche de Jacto, de hidropressoterapia, de banhos de vapor Bertholet, Bertholaix e Cromotherm, e as piscinas dotadas de aparelhos de hidromassagem com equipamentos de sauna e de banho turco alimentados com vapor termal), os Serviços de Tratamento do Cólon e Recto e os Serviços de Tratamento de Vias Respiratórias (ORL), as Salas de Descanso e Serviços de Apoio (Laboratório e Rouparia, entre outros). Um serviço de cafetaria e uma sala de leitura e jogos estão à permanente disposição dos utentes.

Técnicas Termais

As práticas termais disponíveis permitem corrigir as situações de maior risco que a vida moderna e sedentária apresenta e "recarregar" baterias: ansiedade, fadiga, postura deficiente e falta de exercício que são, afinal, problemas de todos.

Os banhos e as massagens, entre outros tratamentos terapêuticos, revelam-se altamente eficazes no combate ao stress devido ao seu efeito relaxante.
