The Return of the Big
Monster Door
In March of 2008 I found
Big Monster Door, now archived. This was one of my favorite
caches I have ever done. I have always told people this was a must
do. So when I saw that it got archived I couldn't let this
interesting Chicago treasure go. So I came back to the scene and
placed a new cache so this place is not missed. The final hide is
in a different location so don't try to brute force it, it won't
work. But it is just as easy. The first stage is the main reason
for the visit.
To find the cache, which is
a magnetic keyholder you need to do a way point projection. You
need to look for a sticker on the upper right hand side of an
object seen from GZ that has 5 digits on it. Treat the number as
ABCDE. You need to project a waypoint of BC degrees at a distance
of B(B-E) feet.
