A fun, family caching day out at:
The Saracens Head
Sunday 10th April
12.30 pm onwards
Saracens Head can be found on the outskirts of the small,
picturesque village of Warburton, near Lymm, WA13 9TH. Conveniently
accessible to Junction 21 of the M6 and with the M60 Motorway to
the other side.
The Saracens Head is a very attractive 17th Century Inn
retaining many original features such as the old oak bar, open log
fires in the snug and nooks and crannies. The building outside is
also original and has not been modernised. There is a tunnel
connecting the pub to the church across the road, which can be seen
from the pub window and history has it that Dick Turpin stayed here
once upon a time!
Food, including Sunday lunch, is available should you choose to
eat whilst there. Alternatively, just join us for a drink and a
chat. For the younger family members there is a huge outdoor play
space if the weather is warmer and dry and, inside, soft play room
with all the latest play equipment to keep them happily
occupied.
And now for the caching...... There are currently 77
caches within a three mile radius of this location, 43 within two
miles and 8 within 1 mile. So, if you haven't already found these
caches, why not arrive early or stay late and combine this
gathering with a spot of caching??
And....... for those of you who love the chase of being FTF,
there will be several NEW caches published in the area, on that
day!! .
So, hopefully, Something for Everyone!!
Thanks to the Management who are looking forward to welcoming us
and who will reserve an area of the pub for us as soon as I can
confirm numbers.
This is around the time of school Easter holidays, but if you're
not going away, then please join us.
Look forward to seeing you all there!!
