Wishing on a Tree Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

wvmarle: After the DNFs, did a site check today.

I think the cache is actually still in place, however for no apparent reason someone extended the kerb it's hidden under by another patch of concrete, sealing the original hide-out. So it can not be retrieved any more.

A sad end to one of my very first hides!

Geocache Description:

Lam Tsuen - famous for its wishing tree.

Lam Tsuen is best known for its wishing tree. Even though nowadays it is not allowed anymore to throw wishes attached to oranges in the tree, as this habit was slowly killing the tree, it still is a popular tourist destination. The original wishing tree - that is, the latest official wishing tree as there have been several trees over the years to receive the wishes - is still there, heavily supported on all sides to prevent it from collapsing further.
Also to keep the old habit alive, it is now possible to buy a plastic orange, attach your wish to it, and throw it into a concrete-and-plastic tree instead.
The cache is hidden a bit away from the tree, yet far from muggle-free so be aware of your surroundings.
FTF prize: one such orange with empty wish paper. If you use it after all this effort your wish will certainly come true.
