For details on letterboxing click here.

Please make sure you do not take items from the ziplock baggy as trade items -- they are meant to stay in the cache!

The cache is a milk can. In a separate ziplock baggy inside the cache there is a rubber stamp, ink pad and logbook. If you have your own personalized stamp, use it when signing the letterbox logbook. Then use the cache's unique stamp in your own letterboxing logbook.

GEO-POST OFFICE

This is also the Island's first letter and postcard swapping spot, known as a Geo-Post Office.

Here is how it works:

This is one of many caches that have been placed around the world to hold postcards. Each postcard being sent will have a short message and a forwarding address on it. The address will contain the person's name that you are trying to send the postcard to, their home city, and a destination cache. The idea is to move postcards between Geo-Post Offices until they reach their destination. When you move a postcard from one place to another, let the person who it's being sent to know where you moved it to, because they might be near enough to go pick it up. If you move a postcard from one Geo-Post Office to another, please move it closer to the city or cache!

You can use the following picture (Figure 1) as a guide to the format to use when writing up a postcard address.
some text

You can send any message you want to anyone you want.

How do you get started? Easy! Just write up your postcard and drop it in the Geo-Post Office!

If there are any postcards in the cache when you arrive, feel free to forward them on if you can. If not, don't worry, just leave them for the next cacher.

I have placed a stack of blank postcards in the cache for you to use. You can trade postcards if you wish.

Have fun!

NOTE:

This Geo-Post Office is also a depository and exchange for geocoins and travel bugs. All "visiting trackables" receive a new ziplock baggy and a fresh information sheet stating their "goal". There are also regular escorted "field trips" to local Island geo-events where your trackable can meet cachers and hopefully be "grabbed" and moved along.

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TRADING TBs OR COINS. TAKE WHAT YOU WANT AND KEEP THEM MOVING!!!
