Come join us for a CITO
event at Harris Lake County Park. This is one of our favorite area
parks and the park staff has been very kind to geocachers. They
will be providing coordinates and/or locations that need our help
to clean up. When you check in at the event, we will give you
directions as to where to go for clean up.
Remember to bring older clothes that you don't mind getting dirty,
some work gloves and a sharp eye to find the trash the
park staff directs us to. And water - plenty of water!
In addition to the clean up, the park staff has also
asked if we would check on every cache that is located in the park.
They are looking to make sure that each cache has a log sheet, is
in good shape, has appropriate swag and that they are hidden well.
Either during the clean up efforts (should they put you near a
cache) or after lunch, we hope that you will also help out with
this as well. There is a bookmark list below that contains all the
caches in the park.
Lunch will be starting around noon. If you are
interested in helping out and like to grill, please let us know.
Also, If you wouldn't mind bringing a side dish to share we would
appreciate it. Please mention in your "will attend" log what you
think you might be bringing so others know what not to bring. Hot
dogs, hamburgers, and rolls will be provided.
The Raven Rock
Ramble is starting at this park around 8:30am, so parking will
be limited. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try to carpool! If you don't know
anyone who is going, put in your "will attend" log the general area
you coming from and that you would like to ride with someone. If
you have space in your vehicle, please look through the logs for
someone needing a ride. Thanks so much!
