Kopec Prašivá hora
Zalesnená Prašivá hora rozdeluje katastry obcí Vendryne, Bystrice nad Olší a Nýdek. Kolem kopce je lesní cesta dlouhá necelých 5 kilometru, která se v zime promení v relaxacní bežkarskou trat. V každém rocním období, zde potkáte lidi na procházce nebo lidi, kterí si chtejí v prírode zabehat. Není jich ale mnoho, takže je zde relativne klid. Nejvíce lidí v lese potkáte když rostou hriby. Ve zdejších smrkových porostech se nejvíce darí suchohribu žlutomasému (no po našymu to je pólgrzibek). To je pak v lese více lidí než hribu... Presto málokdo z techto houbaru zavítá na vrchol Prašivé hory. Když už se tak stane, nakonec se stejne nedozví jak je vlastne tento kopec vysoký, protože turistická znacka byla "editována" a nadmorská výška je zde jaksi prepsána, takže clovek neví, co vlastne platí.
Ve verejných zdrojích se rovnež mužete setkat s uvedením ruzných nadmorských výšek, nejcasteji 541, 542 nebo 570 m.n.m.
Každopádne je tady hezky a když se budete chovat tiše, jiste potkáte i nejaké ty srnky nebo zajíce, kterých je zde docela hodne.
Prasiva Hill
Prasiva is a forest hill that divides the municipalities of three villages - Vendryne, Bystrice nad Olsi and Nydek. There is an almost 5 kilometers long track around the hill. This track turns into a pleasant cross-country skiing track in winter. You will meet people on a walk or people who like to jog in the nature here in every season. There are not many of them, so it is relatively quiet there. You can meet the most people in the woods when mushrooms grow. The mushroom that is in local dialect called polgrzibek can be most often found in the woods. The number of people in the forest is then higher than the number of all mushrooms there... Yet only few of these people reach the top of Prasiva hill. Even if they do, they will not learn how high this hill actually is. That is because the tourist sign that says the altitude is somewhat "edited", so you cannot tell what the original number was.
Other sources also state different altitudes, typically 541, 542 or 570 m above the sea level.
Anyhow, this place is nice and if you behave quietly, you should be able to see some deer or hare, there is quite a lot of them.
