Jasmer-style Challenge cache.
To celebrate the
10th anniversary of Deer Bait (GC2B4), currently Ontario's oldest
active cache, I have set up a Jasmer style Challenge Cache.
Logging requirements :
- Log at least one cache from Ontario, published in every month
since February 2001.
- Include with your log a screenshot of your Jasmer Challenge
Progress
using software such as GSAK or www.mygeocachingprofile.com
Jasmer Challenges typically
require the cacher to have logged at least one cache published in
every month since geocaching began (May 2000). This Challenge has
been adapted to suit the current active caches available in
Ontario (Feb 2011) and to allow newer cachers
to complete the Challenge. I will adjust the
requirements for logging this cache as older caches become
archived.
The cache is found at the
actual coordinates, hidden in the Badenoch tract in Wellington
County. It is a camo taped plastic LocknLock container measuring
approximately 3 by 5 inches. There is enough room inside for a log
book, pencils, geocoins and very small travel bugs. There is a
travel bug reward for the FTF.
There is also a Pioneer
Honour Board for the cachers who not only complete the challenge,
but have also logged the most older caches in Ontario (pre Dec 31,
2001).
Please note : There is
little roadside parking at the trailhead (N 43 28.373 W080 04.810).
Please park at the Badenoch Community Centre (N 43 28.285 W080
04.725) a hundred metres down the road. The roundtrip distance from
car to the cache and back via the trailhead is approximately 0.8
km
Congratulations to Buttons &
Beaux on the FTF !!
